Elara’s family has been hunted for generations, exiles fleeing a sin their ancestors committed, a transgression lost to time. When the dark elves discover them on a forgotten island, they slaughter everyone she loves save her. She remains valuable for reasons her family long ceased knowing.

Draevon, King of Thal’varen for seventeen centuries, remembers what the world has forgotten. When his son’s warriors intercept a human woman from Drae’nel captivity, proving without question a shift in their tactics, he must act to preserve his people.

Thousands of years past, divine beings called Aureans sacrificed themselves to seal the demons after a devastating war. The remainder of the Aureans’ power was employed to create two races: humans and elves. Their hybrid children born from that covenant—the Aldren—were meant to be guardians.

Greed and power corrupted the Aldren, and they released the demons which nearly destroyed everything. Those who remained innocent were hunted regardless, their descendants—the Kin’dal—driven to the edges of the world.

Now the Drae’nel seek the last Kin’dal blood to shatter the seals entirely. Elara, traumatized and powerless, bears a heritage she never knew she carried. She stands between an immortal king’s grief and forces that would break the world to remake it.

Between them, an impossible bond awakens. What it unleashes may doom them all or preserve what remains.
